The Home invasion gone wrong

About 10 years ago Steve and Jill moved into their home in this great neighborhood. A few years later they had a bouncing baby boy and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. In all the time they lived in their quiet neighborhood the worst crime committed was some minor vandalism by kids on people’s mailboxes. Annoying but it could be worse. This was the kind of place that you see on TV where something bad happens and they interview everyone and they all say “I never would have expected something like this to happen here”.

Now about a year or so ago things in this quiet neighborhood changed after a home invasion on the other side of the neighborhood caused a young woman to be shot to death and her husband beaten severely. Worst of all is that they never caught the scumbags that did it.

Right after that Steve decided with the hours he had to work and the recent crime he should pick up a big ol’ fire extinguisher style pepper spray and keep it handy just in case of trouble but all in all he still thought his neighborhood was safe.

One Saturday around 4:30 in the morning they woke up to the sound of breaking glass coming from downstairs. Steve jumps up and grabs the pepper spray and pops out the safety pin. He ran into the hallway and could hear men coming up the stairs. To his credit he kept his cool and jumped out blasting both of the idiots square in the face with some of the hottest pepper spray on the market.

One of the scumbags fired his 9mm but since he was blinded and reeling in pain he hit nothing but steps. Steve started yelling at the men that he was going to kill them if they didn’t get out of his house and since they were unable to see or breathe they TRIED to leave. But by this time they weren’t able to be going anywhere fast!

Jill had already called the po po when she grabbed the phone and locked herself in their son’s room so they were on their way. Steve stayed at the top of the steps to be sure they had to get through him to get to his wife and child. Within just a few minutes the po po had arrived to find the 2 scumbags desperately trying to escape out the back door which wasn’t working out to well for them.

With their eyes swelled almost shut, unable to breathe and beat red in their faces from where the pepper spray absorbed into their pores both of the scumbags were arrested. Later they were both found guilty and are now securely back in their cages for the next 10 years. Steve did exactly what he should have done, he stayed calm. He used his self defense equipment correctly and he was smart enough to stay in a manageable area of his house in order to defend his family.

Three cheers for Steve!!!
